DAL Partner Future Energy Solutions Triumphs At British Parking Awards
March 24, 2015, MIAMI -- Future Energy Solutions (FES) and DAMG Lighting (DAL) are celebrating following the win of a prestigious accolade at the British Parking Awards 2015. FES secured the Sustainable Parking Award for an installation of light emitting diode (LED) lighting technology in the National Car Parks estate.
Now in its fourteenth year, the British Parking Awards is one of the most highly anticipated events in the UK parking calendar. Created and hosted by Parking Review magazine, the 2015 ceremony took place in the four star surroundings of the Lancaster London hotel, where over 500 industry professionals gathered to witness awards being presented for leading examples of car park management, enforcement, design and teamwork.
Accepting the Sustainable Parking Award from television presenter and wheelchair basketball player, Ade Adepitan, who also compered the event, Marcus Brodin, Commercial Director at FES, stated, 'As one of the biggest and most successful rollouts of LED lighting anywhere in Europe, we are incredibly proud that our work with NCP has been recognised in this way. Our unique funding model has allowed NCP to enjoy energy savings of over 65 per cent, lower its carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 11,000 tonnes per annum and reduce its mono-nitrogen oxide (NOx) output by 248lbs over the same period – all with no upfront capital expenditure.'
With over 150,000 spaces in more than 500 car parks accross the United Kingdom, NCP wanted to address the rising costs associated with its previous T8 and T12 fluorescent lamp based lighting infrastructure, and approached FES in early 2013 with a number of improvement objectives. These included a reduction in energy lighting bills; lower maintenance costs; and an overall enhanced lumen output to provide an enhanced customer experience.
"We are thrilled for our partner's success", said Joseph A. Piscitell, CEO of FES Partner DAMG Lighting. "It's always encouraging to witness the hard work of your colleagues rewarded, and we know the folks on the FES team are incredibly hard working innovators".
DAMG Lighting, LLLP (DAL) is the result of a joint venture between DAMG Worldwide LLC, Matterhorn Capital Ltd. and Future Energy Solutions (FES). The ventures mission is to market energy efficient lighting products to airports, universities and other industrial companies that maintain facilities such as parking structures that require lighting 12 to 24 hours a day.
